Whenever I think of buying my daughter her first bra, my mind goes back to an old episode of “Who’s the Boss” where Tony tries, in vain, to purchase Sam her first bra and have the “young lady” talk with her; though Tony’s attempt was valiant, it took Angela’s womanly wisdom to help Sam cross that threshold from prepubescent tomboy to growing young woman.

• A teen’s bust can grow very quickly.  It’s not uncommon for a girl to grow too big for a bra just a few weeks buying it. Despite the cost, you must keep up to date with your daughter’s development and always ensure her bras fit properly.

• Even at a young age, a woman’s breast is susceptible to stretching and drooping. There are no muscles in the breast so any rigorous movement can cause permanent sagging. Much of this excessive movement comes during exercise, hence the reason for a sports bra to hold and support the breasts properly.  Make sure she has one for PE and any sporting activities she takes part in.

Using hot water will cause silk fabric to wear out quickly and can also cause color irregularities in the fabric.

Drying
For drying women’s silk underwear, you don’t want to put the garments in the dryer unless the manufacturer’s instructions say it is okay to do so. Many silk undergarments are dryer-safe, but some are not. Even if the instructions say using a dryer is fine, it would be better to let the silk underwear dry naturally. Just toss the garments over the shower curtain or towel rods or buy an indoor drying rack. Never dry your silk underwear outside, as exposure to sun and extreme temperatures can weaken or discolor the silk.

Ironing
Finally, once your silk women’s underwear is dry, you will likely find it is wrinkled.
